About Us

Our Mission: Utilize traditional methods of cooking, baking and food preservation to create authentic yet innovation tasting experience for our family and friends to share and remember for a lifetime. All from scratch or in French as they say "terroir."

Nicole started baking as a young child and being a child of the 90's, many of those creations came from a box. As she went through high school, her and her best friend baked cakes for birthdays and decorate them using store-bought icing, toys and even tin foil.

Very littlebaking happened over her college years, but a couple years post-college Nicole’s mom gifted her a KitchenAid stand mixer. Since then, she started to experiment more in the kitchen — starting from scratch, following more complex recipes, and exploring food as a form of art.

Many KitchenAid attachments and other gadgets were requested for birthdays and holiday. And in return, Nicole (along with her husband) shared and gifted many of the creations coming from their kitchen.

At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, as many others around her, Nicole was stuck at home and decided to start baking… a lot. That was the start of the COVID-19 cake series and the beginnings of Lou’s Pantry.
